When the snow finally started (“The Blizzard of 2009”as it was called on the Weather Channel), it came fast and the wind chills were in the single digits. The way the wind was blowing reminded us of our time in Russia earlier in the year. While Daddy was outside stringing up the final set of Christmas lights, Victoria was chomping at the bit to get outside…but, it was way too cold. So, Mommy made everyone some nice hot chocolate and we spent the rest of the day enjoying the warmth of the living room. The next day, the snow storm had subsided and the wind had died down. Victoria barely got out a “Good Morning” before she started asking to go outside. Everyone bundled up and we headed out. First there was some shoveling to do and Victoria was a great helper. Once the shoveling was finished, it was time for play. Victoria was sliding around, playfully throwing snowballs, making snow angels, and even helped make a snow man (unfortunately, it was not good packing snow, so it looked more like Jobba the Hut than Frosty…but, no matter, we had a blast).
Pictures are the best way to see how much fun Victoria had, so here are some pictures from the week…
